I graduated from Fleming College's highly regarded three year Massage Therapy program where I practiced the words “no pain, much to gain”. Presented with the Aranka De Szegheo Award for outstanding clinic/outreach placement, my passion for helping people with the healing arts, is clearly communicated through my hands.
Combining sports, medical, orthopedic, and holistic modalities, I help facilitate symmetry of the body. I practice a variety of techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue release, rhythmical mobilization, and sports massage.
I also brings additional experience having provided massage therapy to elite athletes during the 2015 Pan Am games.

I am passionate about using a collaborative approach to massage, balancing current knowledge, with a customized treatment plan to continuously improve your well being and restore symmetry of your body.
I have a background as a professional percussionist, and my experience in teaching Djembe drumming inspires me to approach therapeutic massage from a unique perspective incorporating a strong focus in tapotement (percussive massage).
Within my family history for many generations there are alternative medicine healers and massage therapists, including my grandmother who treated polio with massage therapy in the 1950’s! My family history has had a strong influence in my passion for being immersed in alternative medicine and in my ongoing learning.
As a self described “athletic art lover” I continue to work with sport teams and expand my offerings by facilitating community wellness events inline with my passion for alternative medicine through a variety of avenues including drum circles and OneRhythm Yoga classes.
The mind-body connection facilitated by the central nervous system is intricate & amazing! There is much to be said about taking care of both our mind & our body on our journey to whole body wellness! We have two main branches of our nervous system - sympathetic & parasympathetic! The parasympathetic nervous system is our "rest & digest", while the sympathetic is responsible for the "fight or flight" response. When we are experiencing internal or external stressors that the body perceives as dangerous, our sympathetic nervous system will send signals to release "stress" hormones. Wellness massage helps decrease the firing of the sympathetic nervous system & awaken the parasympathetic nervous system! It's then that we can BEST heal, rejuvenate, carry out important bodily functions, regulate blood pressure, relieve feelings of anxiousness, stress & worry, & generally feel "well". It is also important in decreasing the perception of pain which happens in the brain.
